I'm Kiki -  

A writer in my 50s, working a full-time corporate job, volunteering where & when I can, and in the middle of all of that, trying to write my first fantasy novel.

The novel is about a young woman who sets out to find her missing father and ends up becoming a pirate. It's about class and power and what happens when you decide the break the world's rules.

This is where I write about the process — the real one, not the tidy version (trust me, there’s no such thing!) The false starts and breakthroughs; the critique groups and competitions; the mornings when the words come and the mornings when they absolutely do not. Eventually I plan to write in speculative fiction and romance too, and I’d love to bring you along for all of it.
